Woodfin lies about 4 miles north of Asheville on NC 251, a riverside town whose French Broad frontage is both its appeal and its weak point.

Not one of these is in Woodfin. Each carries the address of where it really stands.
Asheville Bear Creek RV Park: Asheville, at 81 South Bear Creek Road, about fifteen minutes south west. Full hookups on 30 and 50 amp service, pull throughs at 25 by 60 feet, no age restriction and open all year. No arrivals after ten at night, even with a booking.
Wilson's Riverfront RV Park: Asheville, at 225 Amboy Road, on the French Broad. Its own site says it is rebuilding from Helene with no bath house and no tent camping, while remaining open for RV camping year round. Worth knowing before you arrive expecting facilities.
Lake Powhatan Recreation Area: In the Pisgah National Forest on the western edge of Asheville. Standard pitches at 37 dollars, electric at 46 and full hookups at 52. Booking runs through Recreation gov.
Asheville West KOA Holiday: Candler, at 309 Wiggins Road, about twenty minutes west. Confirmed open and taking bookings, though the hookup specification is not itemised online, so ask what your pitch carries.
Confirm current availability, rules and requirements directly with each park.

Woodfin's whole identity is being rebuilt around the river that flooded it, which makes it the most interesting and the most uneven of these towns to visit. Three town parks are open and normal. One reopened but still has its amenities out of action, and the whitewater wave the town is best known for planning is not finished. The list below says which is which.

Being four miles from downtown Asheville makes Woodfin the easiest base here for anyone who wants the city rather than the mountains. A Class C motorhome is the usual family answer and parks fine at the nearby city sites. A Class B motorhome is the best of the four for driving into the city and actually finding a space. A Class A motorhome rewards a long stay parked on a full hookup pitch. The large bunkhouse travel trailer answers for a family wanting separate berths. Delivery is available with setup handled for you. Availability depends on the individual RV and your travel dates, and pricing varies by RV class, season and rental length.
