RV Rentals near Fairview, North Carolina

Fairview lies about 12 miles southeast of Asheville on US 74A, a farming valley of orchards and pasture rather than a town with a high street.

RV parks within reach of Fairview

Fairview has no campground of its own, so this list is limited to verified pitches within about half an hour, each labelled with its real town.

None of these is in Fairview. The valley is farmland and has no campground that could be confirmed.

Asheville Bear Creek RV Park: Asheville, at 81 South Bear Creek Road, the closest full service option at roughly half an hour. Full hookups on 30 and 50 amp service, pull throughs at 25 by 60 feet, no age restriction and open all year.

Asheville East KOA Holiday: Swannanoa, at 2708 Highway 70 East, north over the ridge. Full hookups on 50 amp service and takes rigs up to 70 feet. Its own site notes that the lakes remain closed for repairs after Helene.

Lake Powhatan Recreation Area: In the Pisgah National Forest on Asheville's western edge. Standard pitches at 37 dollars, electric at 46 and full hookups at 52. Booking runs through Recreation gov, and the gatehouse keeps longer hours from March to November.

Confirm current availability, rules and requirements directly with each park.

Best things to see and do in Fairview

Fairview is a working agricultural valley along the old drovers' road toward Lake Lure, and its appeal is exactly that it is not a visitor town. There is a historic farm that opens to the public, a county library, a community centre and a great deal of pasture. Anyone wanting shops and galleries drives the twenty minutes into Asheville.

Hickory Nut Gap Farm - the historic working farm on Sugar Hollow Road
Fairview Library - the county branch on Taylor Road in the village
Spring Mountain Community Center - county recreation on Old Fort Road
Sherrill's Inn - the 1840s drovers' stop, now a private event venue
Blue Ridge Parkway - the ridge road, twenty minutes up from the valley

Which RV works for a Fairview trip

Everything about Fairview points to basing elsewhere and driving in, so pick for the road rather than the pitch. A Class C motorhome balances space against manners on US 74A. A Class B motorhome earns its place if the plan runs up the narrow roads toward the Parkway. A Class A motorhome should stay parked at a full hookup site near Asheville. The large bunkhouse travel trailer works for a family settling in nearby for a week. Delivery across the area is available. Availability depends on the individual RV and your travel dates, and pricing varies by RV class, season and rental length. View available RVs or Contact the Asheville Camper Rentals team.
