Jason M., Raleigh, NC: "Pickup was quick and seamless. The RV was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for our trip. We'll definitely be booking again."
The Games return to MacRae Meadows on July 8 to 11, 2027. On-site camping is primitive, and a rig parked there cannot move all weekend.

The Games run primitive camping on the meadows and take RVs at the same rates as tents. What that buys is 20 amp reaching about three quarters of one curfew zone, limited 30 amp, no sewer, and the organiser's advice to leave air conditioners and heaters off. Their words: access is not guaranteed.
No vehicles are allowed at campsites. You unload, then park away from the tents, and anything used as a campsite cannot be relocated until the Games end. Shuttle vans ferry campers back to their cars. Four days is a long time without the thing you arrived in.

The 2027 Games run Thursday July 8 to Sunday July 11, the organiser's fixed second-full-weekend slot. The shape of the four days is worth knowing before anyone books a bed:
Most of that points the same way, which is to sleep off the mountain.
Not on the mountain itself. Parking up there is hangtag only, for sponsors, patrons and participants, and the public may drive up solely after 5:00 pm on the Friday and Saturday for the concerts. Everyone else uses one of four free lots, at Sugar Mountain, Linville, Avery County High School and Millers Gap, and pays ten dollars cash for a round trip shuttle seat.
For a bed with services, Grandfather Campground in Banner Elk runs full hookups at 30 and 50 amp and stays open all year. Buck Hill in Newland has 69 sites on full hookups with 20, 30 and 50 amp. One name to get right: the private Linville Falls Campground RV Park on Gurney Franklin Road is open, while the National Park Service campground of almost the same name, a mile away on the Parkway, has been closed since Hurricane Helene. Guides conflate the two constantly.
Two things about getting a unit there. Linville is roughly ninety five miles from us, a haul rather than a local drop, so book the date early and raise Avery County when you first call, because it sits at the outer edge of what we cover and the run out there is quoted rather than standard. And do not plan on the Parkway from Asheville: two long stretches between here and Linville Falls remain shut. Our Class C motorhomes handle those roads better than anything longer would. Other events we cover sit closer to home than this one.

Can I camp on the meadows in a rental unit?
What does the weekend cost?
Why not simply camp on site?
Do you deliver as far as Linville?
